Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH


Berlin is the third-largest airport location in Germany.

In 2022, around 19.8 million passengers used the airport, in 2019 there were 35.6 million passengers. Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) currently operates two terminals (Terminals 1 and 2). Terminal 5 (the former Schönefeld Airport) has been taken out of service.

In addition to securing the long-term air traffic infrastructure for the capital region, the company's task is to develop the existing commercial airports as required.

The Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH is owned by the public sector.

Airlines and destinations

In the summer of 2023, the Berlin airport will be served by 64 airlines, offering more than 140 destinations in 49 countries on four continents. Washington was added as a new long-haul destination in May 2023.
