WISTA Management GmbH, a state-owned company in Berlin, is an experienced economic developer, location developer and service provider.
As an initiator and catalyst, it strengthens the economic foundation of the capital at the interface of science and business. WISTA not only builds, operates and rents out technology center, but also allocates land by granting heritable building rights. Above all, it supports start-ups, links science with business and promotes national and international cooperation.
WISTA operates the Berlin Adlershof Science and Technology Park. Germany's largest high-tech location and Berlin's largest media location are incorporated in an overall urban development concept. Around 1,300 companies and scientific institutions with approx. 29,600 employees operate in an area of 4.6 km². In addition, there are 6,200 students.
In addition, WISTA operates the Charlottenburger Innovations-Center (CHIC) in Berlin's City West district and the House of Games in Berlin-Friedrichshain. It is establishing the FUBIC Innovation Center in Berlin-Dahlem and is responsible for marketing the industrial area Cleantech Business Park Marzahn. On behalf of the Senate Department for Economics, Energy, and Public Enterprises, it operates the office for Berlin’s Future Sites. WISTA is also applying its expertise to the development of a new type of Berlin industrial park where traditional crafts can be integrated with cutting-edge technology.
