Service for users
Berlin Partner for Business and Technology's real estate service is a component of the BERLIN BUSINESS LOCATION CENTER (BLC). As part of the multimedia information service for investors, it offers a platform for commercial real estate providers and users. The service exclusively encompasses commercial real estate in Berlin and Brandenburg. The database's service is free of charge for providers and for users. Any registered user is free to use the BLC's real estate database via an Internet search. Forwarding user ID or password to a third party is not permitted.
Berlin Partner for Business and Technology's services
Berlin Partner for Business and Technology acts neither as an agent nor a realtor, but rather provides the service of an Internet-based real estate database. The real estate offers included therein are listed through a third party; Berlin Partner for Business and Technology takes no responsibility for the accuracy of the content. The provider is exclusively responsible for the examination of the content of the offers (please see "warranties and disclaimers").
Real estate property can be part of realtor agreements through the provider. This could mean that the buyer/renter might be required to pay a commission upon signing a contract. Whether such a commission agreement exists is to be clarified directly by the provider and the user. The provider is required to refer to such a realtor fee/commission. Questions regarding individual property should be directed to the respective provider.
PLEASE NOTE
The listings will be activated by Berlin Partner for Business and Technology's administrators. If listings with the same address are registered by multiple providers, the administrators will always only activate the first registered offer and include it in the real estate portal. This can mean that this service might not necessarily list an offer with the best conditions.
Guarantees and Liabilities
Berlin Partner for Business and Technology accepts no responsibility for the currency, accuracy or completeness of the offers included on this platform and in particular to 'linked' Internet sites from providers. The responsibility for the published content and the content of the 'linked' Internet sites published as part of the real estate service lies solely with the providers. Berlin Partner for Business and Technology does not take responsibility for foreign content and is not liable for foreign content. This does not hold true if Berlin Partner, for example, is aware of the inaccuracy of such content through a user and does not correct this or does not require for the provider to correct the information.
Berlin Partner for Business and Technology is liable - regardless of the legal grounds - for its own service, if premeditation or gross negligence can be proven. With simple negligence, Berlin Partner for Business and Technology is only liable if an obligation has an infringement which would prohibit a contract from being signed and which would be a breach for the contractual partner (a so-called cardinal obligation). In this case, the liability is limited to the damage with which the known circumstances would typically occur only after the contract has been signed. Otherwise, liability for damages of all types, regardless of which basis for claim, including the liability for debt at the time of contract is excluded. The named exclusions for liability and limitations also protect employees, agents or other third parties which are served by Berlin Partner on fulfilling a contract. All exclusions for liability and limitations do not hold, however, in the cases of necessary legal liability, in particular according to product liability law, takeover of a guarantee or with culpable injury of life, body or health.

1. Collection and processing of personal data
Data is saved in a protocol file after each access by a user to the BLC real estate portal as well as each time a file is opened. This data includes the IP address, date, time of day and the viewed pages. This normally does not allow for personal identification. Equally, no use of this data takes place that is related to an individual user. The anonymous data can, however, be used for statistical evaluations.
Registration is necessary in order to use the services of the real estate portal. This includes personal information, for example, last and first names and email. In some cases, more information is requested, such as telephone numbers, etc. This is the prerequisite for the functionality of the offered services of the real estate portal and is processed and used exclusively for services offered by Berlin Partner for Business and Technology.
The provider agrees to the named use with his/her registration. This agreement can be revoked at any time in writing or by email to Berlin Partner for Business and Technology.

2. Sharing of personal data with third parties
Berlin Partner for Business and Technology treats the provided data strictly confidentially and assures that the user's data protection concerns will be taken into consideration at all times. Personal data from the provider and data from real estate offers is used exclusively for the announced purposes and adheres to the legal data protection regulations. Allocated data is saved in electronic form. It can be edited or changed at any time by the provider. Sharing data with third parties does not occur.
3. Cookies
So-called "cookies" may be saved on the user's computer during the visit to the website. This largely serves the purpose of making the online visit more pleasant and individualized. Cookies are files that identify a user as a particular customer and can save his/her personal preferences during the use of a website, but also technical information. This has the advantage for users, most of all, that he/she is not required to add the saved information during each new visit to the website.
Generally, cookies do not include or reveal personal information. If the user, however, adds personal information to the website, this information could be linked to the saved data in the cookies. Other websites do not have access to this information. The user can also completely disable the use of cookies in his/her browser settings. Berlin Partner for Business and Technology notes, however, that some areas of the website may not completely function if the user's browser is not set to accept cookies or similar mechanisms. The information gained through cookies will only be linked to other information that make it possible to identify a person when necessary for taking advantage of an offer.

The BLC's real estate portal includes links to other websites. Berlin Partner for Business and Technology is not responsible for the data protection regulations on these websites.
5. Changes to this data protection declaration
Based on ongoing developments on the Internet, the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and also the BLC's real estate portal, we reserve the right to modify this data protection declaration if necessary. Should we use your data in a way other than stated at the time we collected your data in the data protection declaration, we will attempt to inform you via email at your most recent contact. If this is not possible, we will not use your personal information in a new manner.
