Please note that the current funding period ends at the end of 2021 and the designated funding areas apply exclusively to the current funding period. With the start of the new funding period in 2022, there will be changes and reductions in the GRW-eligible C and D funding areas in Berlin. The breakdown of the funding areas for the GRW funding period starting in 2022 has not yet been determined. As soon as this is available, the funding area map will be updated accordingly.

In addition, it should be noted that with the expiry of the funding period, an increasing number of funding applications can be expected, which will have to be decided on in the current year. The conditions of the currently valid GRW coordination framework only apply to projects that will be sustainably started this year and whose applications will be submitted and approved during this funding period. The conditions for the GRW funding period from 2022 onwards are currently being negotiated and have not yet been determined.

For the current funding period ending 12/31/21, the following applies:

The highest level of GRW funding varies within Germany. It essentially depends on the economic development of the particular region. In this manner, Berlin was split into two funding areas (C and D funding areas).

In both Berlin funding areas, investment assistance from the Joint Task for the Improvement of Regional Economic Structures and other public funding sources is possible at a maximum of the gross funding rates listed below:
