The success of innovative companies depends on whether or not they are in constant contact with scientists, get new ideas and work to improve their own products and processes.
Berlin Partner for Business and Technology helps companies find the right partners in science.
TIM – Service for technology transfer and innovation management
The TIM service offers small or medium enterprises (SMEs) the opportunity to talk to experts in different fields in order to find possibilities for imprioving their products or processes. We also arrange individual partnering meetings with scientists from regional academic institutions, and we help to define R&D-projects and to get funding.
The Berlin-based “League of Innovation” aims to intensify, transfer technology and strengthen the competitiveness of the regional economy through closer collaboration between companies, universities and research institutions.
The basis of the Transfer-Alliance is a catalog of measures in conjunction with the “Master Plan for the Industrial City of Berlin 2010-2020” that would cause innovations to consistently and continuously be implemented and evolve. Here, the Transfer-Alliance is supported by a working group made up of members including the UVB, VCI, VDMA, ZVEI, the Berlin Chamber of Commerce, various colleges, non-university research institutions, the DIN German Institute for Standardization, Berlin Partner for Business and Technology, as well as the Senate Departments for Economics, Technology and Research and for Education, Youth and Science.
The Berlin-area universities and research institutions use the close cooperation with business and political organizations so that research results and practical knowledge develop rapidly into new, competitive products and so that development processes will be implemented quickly.
Transfer BONUS supports small cooperation projects of applied research and development between companies and scientific institutions and universities in Berlin and Brandenburg.
To find the right business or science partners, the project partners – CCI Berlin, Berlin Partner for Business and Technology GmbH and Berlin Chamber of Crafts and Skilled Trades – decided to come together to establish the cooperation platform ‘marktreif.berlin – Business meets Research.’ Contacts, information and services are provided in relation to the transfer of know-how and technology with the goal of building a network of research institutes and companies, promoting Berlin as a center of science and technology and creating transparency.
