Market for Industrial and Commercial Space

In 2009, approximately 301,000 m² of commercial space were rented, leased or sold in the region (2008: 356,000 m²).  That year saw a marked increase in demand for production and logistics spaces.

Prices for undeveloped property in Berlin
  • In both international and national comparisons, prices for land to be developed as a commercial site in Berlin are exceptionally moderate and thus attractive for businesses establishing new locations.
  • In general, property prices depend on the location, the type and intensity of use and the size of the property.
  • Most properties available for commercial development that have been fully connected to the urban grid are priced between 30-140 €/m².
