Berlin is leading in private investments in start-ups: in 2016, venture capitalists invested around 1.07 billion euros in Berlin. Promising and well-established start-ups have emerged in recent years, such as 6 Wunderkinder, Outfittery, Wooga, Soundcloud, Gameduell, Mister Spex, Zalando, Helpling, Delivery Hero, Home24, HelloFresh, Foodpanda and ZipJet. Berlin is popular with foreign VC investors. These accounted for 37.9 percent in 2016. The share of VC-financed start-ups in Berlin's workforce is also increasing significantly.
